Halsey’s fans have their back—no matter what. The pregnant singer recently updated their Instagram and Twitter bios to include she/them. Fans quickly noticed the change and began tweeting them loving and supportive messages. In a recent Instagram Story, Halsey wrote a simple “thank u ❤️” after the influx of encouragement they received on social media.
One fan wrote, “i’m so happy for halsey bc some of their poems were about struggling w gender and identity and they have talked about it before too and i’m glad they feel comfortable to express themselves how they want to now despite what others or the media might think :,).”

Halsey has been open about their sexuality during their career and even took to Instagram last month to explain how being pregnant has affected their gender identity. “February is the shortest month, but the days seem like they are taking very long. Butttttt also going so fast?! I’ve been thinking lots about my body,” they wrote. “it’s strange to watch yourself change so quickly.”
They continued, “I thought pregnancy would give me very strong, binary feelings about ‘womanhood’ but truly it has leveled my perception of gender entirely. My sensitivity to my body has made me hyper aware of my humanness and that’s all. Doing a remarkable thing. And it’s grand. I hope the feeling lasts. I cook a lot, sleep even more, and read lotssss of books. I miss my family. And you guys too! ??♂️ bye for now.”
